This week at Central Kids Ōpōtiki Kindergarten, we held our Annual Matariki celebrations.
This year we celebrated Matariki by having a delicious pumpkin and ham hock soup on a lovely sunny winters day. The tamariki helped prepare the soup by peeling and chopping the vegetables alongside the kaiako.
Enjoying a lovely kai together as a whānau helps our tamariki to develop a sense of whakawhanaungatanga and kotahitanga.
