We often have baking activities on offer at Central Kids Rotorua East.

Today we tried something new and made a custard cake.  During this baking activity our tamariki are learning about general hygiene, basic home economic skills whilst gaining an understanding of process learning.

Hands-on cooking inspires children’s curiosity, thinking and problem solving, as well as offering new opportunities to make predictions and observations and further their understanding about math concepts such as weight, volume and measurements.
