At Central Kids Matatā, our tamariki are very lucky to have whānau that take them camping. This was very evident today when a group of e hoa found some rocks and sticks and made themselves a campfire.
The asked kaiako for support to make a tent for them as they wanted to ‘stay out for the night’. It was very fortunate that we had some blue tarps that fitted the bill perfectly. They were suspended from some nearby trees, shurbs and our whare takaro.
Along with some sand, dirt, water, weeds and flowers that were collected along the way, it made for a pretty exciting camping trip. Well done Lockie, Wyatt, Taylor, Te Ariki and Phoenix, you made an exceptional campsite.
