The tamariki at Central Kids Ōtorohanga recently had a visit from our local Fire Brigade.
Deputy Chief Bryan and Senior Fire Fighter, Casey let us look at all the equipment in the truck, sit in the driver’s seat and then we had turns holding the hose and running through the water to cool down as it was a really hot day.
The next day, we had a visit from Constable Kat who talked about keeping ourselves safe in the car and out and about. She had some awesome gear for the children to wear – hats and a vest. Then she showed us the Police car, with the lights and siren!! What an awesome community we live in!!
