HR ASSISTANT – 32.5 hours per week

Central Kids is a progressive, forward thinking organisation operating 56 Kindergartens and Early Learning Centres across the Central North Island.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HR Assistant to join our team at our head office in Putaruru.  The tasks within this role will vary and include maintaining personnel records, backup payroll duties and ensuring HR administration processes and systems are kept up to date.

We are looking for a team member with the following skills/attributes:

PROPERTY OFFICER

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Property Officer to join our property team.

The purpose of this position is to support our maintenance and capital works programme, ensuring our properties are maintained to a high standard, which enables safe learning environments for the tamariki attending our services.

You will be required to undertake general maintenance/repair/refurbishment work, so ideally you will have the following experience/attributes:

  • NZ recognised trade related qualification
  • Proven experience managing multiple building/property projects
  • Knowledge of building/property compliance/regulations
  • Genuine commitment to Health & Safety
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritise and manage project effectively
  • Exceptional relationship management skills

This position requires interaction with children; therefore, all applicants must be willing to complete a Safety Check in line with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014.  A vehicle will be supplied for work purposes.

RELIEVING TEACHERS

Central Kids employs relieving teachers to cover for permanent staff members on a day to day or short term relieving basis within the Central North Island.  Relieving offers you the flexibility to work when it best suits you.

Qualified relievers must hold the equivalent of a Diploma of Teaching ECE and a current practicing certificate.  Qualified relievers must hold registration in order to be eligible for coverage under the terms and conditions of the Kindergarten Teachers, Head Teachers and Senior Teacher Collective Agreement.

Unqualified relievers must undergo a police vet check and provide verbal or written references prior to acceptance and commencement of relieving.

All applicants must be entitled to work in New Zealand to be eligible to apply.
