‘In the Sea’ at Kihikihi

‘In the Sea’ at Kihikihi

Central Kids Kihikihi Kindergarten recently welcomed a familiar visitor, Kathy Lawson from Animated Soundz, who presented her interactive show, ‘In the Sea’ using puppets and music.

We went on an adventure in the deep blue sea, meeting a variety of sea creatures with a firm favourite being Mr. Shark as hungry as can be!!  Woven throughout the performance were messages about sustainability – how to keep our oceans and sea creatures safe from pollution and how we can all help by recycling, especially our plastic bags that marine life can mistake for food.

Our tamariki enjoyed the opportunity to sing, dance and perform with the puppets and after Kathy left, they carried on by using our puppets and taking about sea creatures and how to keep them safe.
