Greetings to all, my name is Soraya Parkinson, I’m originally from Tōrere just out of Ōpōtiki on the east coast.
I’ve worked previously in a variety of kindergartens within Central Kids as well as living overseas working in international schools in Italy, Azerbaijan and most recently Mongolia.
I am looking forward to a new place and role as I take on the head teacher/kaiwhakaako position for Central Kids Kinloch, Taupō.
I’m looking forward to the outdoor opportunities that Taupō has to offer. As well as learning the whakapapa, waiata, pūrākau of the surrounding Kinloch.
Manaakitanga is most important to me and my teaching, relationships with tamariki and whānau are the foundation to a community that works together to raise, support and encourage children.
Look forward to meeting you all, call in to see us from Monday, 14th October.
