Kōhanga Ngahere at Glenshea

At Central Kids Glenshea Kindergarten, we attend Kōhanga Ngahere twice a week.  Children are becoming increasingly capable of making connections between people, places and things in their world – te waihanga hononga (Te Whāriki, Belonging – mana whenua, pg. 32)

Through exploration, mana aotūroa, children move confidently and challenge themselves physically, te wero ā-tinana.  Children are learning curiosity about their world, they solve their own problems, engage in reflective discussions and use all the senses and physical abilities to make sense of their world.
