Learning new skills ā tōna wā

Learning new skills ā tōna wā

Our tamariki are always busy, working at their own pace.  Look at these amazing constructions, they are learning ā tōna wā (at their own pace)

As tamariki at Central Kids Glenshea Kindergarten continue to learn ā tōna wā (in their own time), kaiako support and encourage children to be affirmed as individuals, as they are becoming increasingly capable of recognising and appreciating their own ability to learn | te rangatiratanga. (Te Whāriki, Contribution | Mana Tangata pg. 37)

Children are learning to use their own strategies to learn new skills and generate and refine working theories.  They are gaining confidence that these are recognised and valued.
