This week, we were lucky to be gifted some Tadpoles by one of our ex kindergarten whānau members. They discovered them when they went to clean out their swimming pool, and instantly thought of us.
The tamariki were so excited, and helped Fiona to prepare the tank, learning about creating the perfect habitat for our new friends. There have been some great examples of Tuakana Teina learning, as our more knowledgeable children can help others learn about the life cycle, from frogspawn to frog.
When the time came to add the tadpoles to their new home, our tamariki were there to help!
We are all looking forward to this exciting adventure, and of course the tamariki can’t wait until the day that we send some of them home with frogs to put in their drains, water tanks or wetlands!
