At the end of June, we celebrated Matariki with our Annual Tree Planting in the Derek Boyd Reserve with surrounds the kindergarten and the sharing of kai.
This year we planted three five finger trees in an area which was up for replanting. By planting the trees, tamariki are experiencing an opportunity to be part of the wider community with a bi-cultural event supporting a sustainable practice.

Thanks to Lou Mackwell from TCDC who works alongside the kindergarten enabling this event to occur. Also, thanks to our whānau for joining in this festive event and the shared kai.
