The team at Central Kids Ōpōtiki Kindergarten would like to acknowledge the financial contribution towards improving our energy efficiency.

We were fortunate to upgrade our lighting to LED which has made a significant difference to our overall centre atmosphere. The new lighting is brighter and warmer. Fostering a caring environment is something that we strive to do every day in our practice, so it’s great that a simple adjustment in our lighting system is also making a difference to the space and ‘feel’ of our centre.

We also upgraded our washing machine and installed a new extractor fan which works well alongside our existing dryer. We use these appliances every day, so it truly makes a real difference when we walk in the room and it feels better ventilated. In addition, we upgraded two of our heat pumps. These new units are excellent and are working well to keep our Kindergarten whare, tamariki and whānau cosy and warm.

Providing a healthy, safe and clean environment supports our Kindergarten to operate optimally. We are therefore very grateful for the financial contribution from Trust Horizon and acknowledge that together, we are supporting our tamariki and whānau to flourish.
