Our four year old’s recently enjoyed a hikoi to our local Fire Station with our kaiako.
Firefighter’s Andy and Will took great care of us, teaching us all about what to do in a fire – Get out! Stay out! Our tamariki are learning about the community they live in, and the different roles adults take on and how these roles help us.
The children got to explore the fire uniforms, inside the fire truck, and even got to have a turn squirting the fire hose. It was such an exciting morning had by all.
A big thank you to the Morrinsville Fire Station team for spending time with us and sharing your knowledge with our tamariki.
