Problem Solving and Puzzles at Central Kids Mercury Bay Kindergarten

Problem Solving and Puzzles at Central Kids Mercury Bay Kindergarten

Puzzles are such a great way for children to develop their maths skills. Sorting, matching, shapes and size, are just a few things they learn about.  As well as having a great time working with others, puzzles develop problem solving skills, concentration and focus. When working together, children are practicing their commination skills and learning to work together.  And don’t we all love that sense of accomplishment when we have completed a puzzle!

Every day, we ensure tamariki have interesting puzzles to choose from. What a sense of pride our tamariki feel when they manage to complete a tricky puzzle! Who would have thought puzzles provide so many learning opportunities and so much fun!
