Central Kids Te Kuiti would like to thank Trustpower Heartland Community Fund for the funding to help purchase new natural resources for their kindergarten.
We are so pleased with the rocks, stones, sculpture and wall art. The enhance our natural environment and provide unique focal points for the children and tamariki to enjoy our natural environment.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the process of the delivery of river stones and feature boulders. Our tamariki enjoyed moving them, they will add to the earth element of our garden. We created two small seats out of the Lawsoniana Pine slab to encourage a quiet respectful space in our ‘sensory area’.
In addition we have purchased a Koru Whānau sculpture to help reflect the cultural identity of many of our families whose tamariki attend our kindergarten. Within the koru, there are figures of Father, Mother and tamariki, symbolising new life, growth, strength and peace.
Thank you once again!
