At Central Kids Owhata Kindergarten, we have such a beautiful big playground for our tamariki. In the middle of summer-raumati, it can get very hot so we decided to plant some shade trees to keep our tamariki safe from te rā, the sun.

We were very lucky to receive some funding from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council – Toi Moana – School Sustainability and Resilience Fund to purchase these big trees and for some help to move and plant them.
