Thursday, 30th January 2020, saw Central Kids Rāwhiti Kindergarten children celebrate the day with ‘Special People’ in their lives. The teachers planned the day as a rolling tea time. Our thinking behind this was not all families may be able to meet a specific time frame, so we would be flexible and accommodate as many whānau as possible.
This worked out a treat, people came and went throughout the day. They joined in our our day, had a cuppa with the tamariki when they felt like it. This also meant our children’s day was largely uninterrupted and a sense of calm prevailed.
What a celebratory day, relaxing and enjoyable where teachers were able to deepen relationships and make wider connections with our community.
Each child had their photo taken, printed professionally and gifted to each, here are a just a few to share.
