Tairua’s tallest sunflower!

Tairua’s tallest sunflower!

Ngā tamariki have been eagerly participating in the Dalton’s Sunflowers in Kindergarten project this year and have managed to so far nurture a sunflower that has reached a height of 230cm.  It was a tricky task trying to measure our tallest sunflower but we problem solved a tricky situation and successfully measured with our special measuring tape that Dalton’s sent us.  This morning we eagerly sent in our photos and entered into the sunflower growing competition, but we already feel like winners!

We celebrated Charles Moss who was nominated as our Dalton’s best little gardener.  Charlie spends copious amounts of time exploring the garden, checking on the plants and sharing knowledge from home about how to ‘keep goats out of your vege patch!’.  Ka pai Charlie!
