The four teachers from Central Kids Hazelmere attended a three day conference at the Tauhara Centre in Taupō. The conference is a time for teachers to come together to gain a deeper understanding about the importance of play in quality education.
Around a campfire, teachers shared their own memories of childhood play. There was a common thread of it being without time constraints, usually outside with others and always without adults present! This reinforced the importance of providing an environment at Central Kids Hazelmere that enables children here to experience such episodes of joyous play too.
