This month at Laughton Kindergarten in Taupō, we have been loving watch our caterpillars transform into beautiful monarch butterflies through the process of metamorphosis. We have had wonderful conversations with tamariki, full of rich language and questioning, as well as exploring scientific terms associated with the life cycle.

One of our favourite stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar in Te Reo Māori has been read many times, helping us on our journey of learning Te Reo together.
