Transitioning to school

Transitioning to school

Research shows that the transition to school process is the most important transition a child will ever make as it is their first significant transition in their life.

At Central Kids Thames Kindergarten, we support this transition by taking a group of our eldest tamariki for a weekly visit to the new entrants class at the kura next door.  Whilst many of the children will transition to this school, the visits are beneficial for all of the tamariki, as they prepare themselves for what life in the classroom is going to look and feel like when they venture off to school.
