Tiakina a Papatūānuku – Protect and enhance the environment
We are proud to announce our new Tree Fund initiative. For every child that enrols with Central Kids we will donate $1 to our Tree Fund. This fund will be used to plant trees in our local communities.
At Central Kids, sustainability is always at the forefront of our minds. Our kindergartens and early learning centres implement sustainable practices that teach children to be kaitiaki/guardians of our earth. To name a few; we are introducing reusable wet bags instead of plastic bags for wet or dirty clothes, encourage reusable lunch wraps and containers, practice recycling and various forms of composting, maintain fruit and vegetable gardens, and in some areas we offer a Bush or Beach Kindergarten programme to immerse children in nature for the day’s learning.
The Central Kids Tree Fund is the latest in our continuous efforts to protect and enhance the environment for the children of today, and the children in the future.
