With all of the anxiety and uncertainty over the past few months with COVID-19 and a long period of time in lock-down, it was a wonderful day on Monday, 18th May when we welcomed the majority of our tamariki back to Central Kids Mercury Bay Kindergarten.
The excitement, along with the smiles on their faces then was such a delight to see – and something that we won’t forget for a long time to come!
Transitioning tamariki back into kindergarten was an unknown process in such unprecedented times, so every effort was made to ensure parents and whānau felt our kindergarten was a safe place for their tamariki to be once Aotearoa NZ moved to Alert Level 2. Having our tamariki transition back so successfully has everything to do with knowing them and their families/whānau so well, our strong relationships and the lovely sense of trust and belonging which makes Central Kids Mercury Bay Kindergarten such a special place for all!
