At Golden Sands Early Learning Centre, we had a great time celebrating Matariki (The Maori New Year) with our whānau. We came together over soup which our tamariki made, then spent the evening roasting marshmallows over a bonfire.

On the lead up to this event our tamariki learnt all about the story of Matariki and made their own paintings and stars to represent their new knowledge of the Māori New Year. This will definitely be an annual event here at Golden Sands.
