At Charles Kindergarten tamariki enjoy learning through play within Ranginui and Papatūānuku. Our kaiako contribute to tamariki education, supporting them to build on their strengths while enhancing whānau values and aspirations.

We uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi through kōrero i te te reo Māori, kaupapa Māori and ako about te ao Māori. We are continually building our skills and kete of knowledge in this area. Kaiako value home languages, cultures and our community, providing quality teaching that positively challenges all tamariki to achieve.

Our indoor and outdoor environments offer wero (challenges) and ako (learning) for tamariki aged from two years to school age. We provide opportunities for tamariki to takes risks and challenge themselves, building resilience and their social and emotional competencies.

Our kaiako take pride in providing quality education and opportunities for all tamariki, with a special focus on supporting tamariki Māori and Pasifika to take charge of their learning, building on what they already know and bring with them.
