At Hinemoa Kindergarten our rich and stimulating environment empowers tamariki to be competent, inquisitive learners, who drive their own learning and take an active role in our programme alongside registered kaiako.

We are well resourced with large spaces for play both inside and out. We have a large outdoor area, which gives tamariki plenty of room to move and explore in a natural setting with trees to climb, vegetable gardens to care for and plenty of opportunities for physical challenges.

Connection with the environment is a big part of what we do here. We are part of the Enviroschools programme and run regular ngahere (bush kindergarten) sessions where small groups of our older tamariki spend time in nature. 

Our philosophy reflects the diverse nature of our community and our belief in the importance of strong relationships. Whānau are welcome in our kindergarten and there are plenty of opportunities to engage in their child’s learning and community events.
