Laughton Kindergarten

Space and inspiration for tamariki to explore, create, inquire and learn.

Laughton Kindergarten is a richly resourced environment, with a beautiful setting inside and out. This provides space and inspiration for tamariki to explore, create, inquire and learn, while having loads of fun alongside each other.

Our qualified and registered kaiako strive for excellence and keep up to date with current practice through ongoing professional development.

We pride ourselves on our relationships with tamariki and their whānau, and the shared responsibility of working together to understand and harness the culture, uniqueness and interests of each tamaiti.

We have a strong focus on local curriculum and go on regular excursions in our community, which connects our tamariki with the people, places and things that make sense of their world. This includes participation in kapa haka and waiata, which are embedded in our curriculum.

Please feel free to pop in any time, our door is always open. We look forward to meeting you soon.

I'm going to miss this place

"From the moment I walked through the gate in 2019, I was welcomed by one of the amazing kaiako who made us feel right at home. Our youngest daughter is in her final year at Laughton Kindergarten, following on from her two older brothers. The team at Laughton are genuinely interested in all their tamariki and are always finding ways to help develop their individual skills and interests, by ensuring lots of different resources and events are available. I'm going to miss this place when our time here comes to an end."
