Our kaiako believe in developing meaningful, responsive, reciprocal relationships with tamariki, whānau and the wider community. This fosters a sense of belonging, wellbeing, communication, contribution and exploration for akonga (learners).

We value and respond to the diverse interests, needs and cultural backgrounds of tamariki by providing an environment with a wide range of experiences to challenge and extend their learning. They are supported to follow their interests and engage in positive interactions. This enables tamariki to explore, take risks, build resilience, and gain confidence through play. We promote social, emotional, academic and physical competencies.

We have an inclusive environment where tamariki and their whānau are respected and valued for who they are. Tamariki are given the opportunity to hear and use te reo Māori and develop an understanding of tikanga Māori.
