Visits to the ngahere (bush) provide opportunity for tamariki to explore the wonders of nature, make new discoveries, develop their physical skills, exercise their imagination and connect with Papatūānuku (Mother Earth).
Our programme provides an inclusive learning environment allowing opportunities for tamariki to interact with whānau, friends, community groups and services. Each tamaiti will have the opportunity to take responsibility for their own learning by participating in activities that interest them. They will have the freedom to create and act on their own ideas, develop knowledge and practice new skills.
Te ao Māori is woven throughout the curriculum. Tikanga rituals, protocols, and te reo are embraced and practiced in the programme.
Tamariki are supported through early literacy foundations and mathematics in a context that is familiar and meaningful to them. We encourage healthy eating and physical exercise. We believe this is important to promote growth and development, and support optimum learning.
Nau mai haere mai, come and experience our wonderful learning environment for yourself.

"I highly recommend Paeroa Kindergarten! It has wonderful kind teachers, fabulous resources and lovely natural outdoor space to explore. It’s very handy just below Primrose Hill, which has lots of activity, often cows grazing on the hill, lots of people walking their dogs and biking around. So plenty of things for children to look at and watch. It’s a friendly and vibrant place and fabulous for this community. I would suggest going to visit and I’m sure you will be delighted."
