Pūtauaki Kindergarten

A happy place with a strong focus on language, culture and identity.

At Pūtauaki Kindergarten we acknowledge the bicultural heritage of Aotearoa and embrace all cultures. We are blessed with fantastic relationships we have with our tamariki and whānau.

“Know me before you teach me”
“Ruia taku taitea, kia rongo taikākā”

Pūtauaki Kindergarten is a happy place with a strong focus on language, culture and identity. We are a mainstream kindergarten with practices centred around kaupapa Māori beliefs and values, including manaakitanga, tuakana-teina, caring for one another, making milestones, celebrating together and whakawhanaungatanga. Many of our whānau have a strong connection to our maunga, awa, whenua and moana.

We have a large outdoor area with a large sandpit and plenty of climbing equipment that challenges tamariki. We have gardens for planting kai and a fruit orchard, our whānau take partnership in learning alongside ngā tamariki with our gardens. Our indoor area provides a large range of educational, fun resources to support learning.

Nau mai haere mai, come and visit us any time.
