Our Kindergarten is located in the heart of Ngateā. When you walk into our Kindergarten you are welcomed with open arms and made to feel at home. It is a home away from home for our whānau.
We have an amazing qualified teaching team who are passionate about our tamariki, their learning and emotional well being. They are strong advocates for our tamariki.
We are very lucky to have a huge outdoor area, including an awesome sandpit. We have a garden area, where we grow fruit, vegetables and flowers.
We have a Ngahere Programme on Wednesdays where the eight eldest tamariki get to go to a local reserve and explore nature. They learn to be confident climbers, explorers and investigators. They learn about the different weather and seasons, the bugs, flora and fauna. All of their senses are used while down at the Ngahere. We have a gas cooker which we teach the tamariki to use safely and enjoy cooking and eating a meal together.
Part of our environment includes nurturing our animals which include chickens, fish, frogs and our lovely rats Hattie and Squeak.
