Central Kids Paraone is situated in the Central Plateau surrounded by majestic mountains, rivers and National parks. We are located in the small community of Taumarunui.
Our programme is supported by Te Whāriki our Early Childhood curriculum that is uniquely bicultural and values inclusiveness.
Play Play Play is what we are about and this makes the way we learn extremely exciting, meaningful and lots of fun. Our outdoor environment is large and open plan allowing children to gage their own interests, have autonomy over their exploration whilst being in nature and experiencing the elements.
Whanaungatanga, Manākitanga and Kaitiakitanga are values that underpin the kindergarten’s vision and philosophy.
We have consistent routines and unique rituals that build on a strong sense of mana whenua, thus developing a strong sense of place and identity.
Regular excursions in and around the community support our programme and promote place-based learning. The tamariki and kaiako engage in purposeful hui following tikanga processes to plan for the excursions about the town.
Transitions are supportive. We encourage whānau and their tamariki to stay at kindergarten till they are six years old promoting best outcomes for children. Children are able to thrive as they have had a rich and full early childhood experience within the highest quality learning environment.
We welcome new families to the kindergarten, come for a visit today.
