At Central Kids Pūtauaki we acknowledge the bicultural heritage of Aotearoa and embrace all cultures. We are blessed with fantastic relationships we have with our tamariki and whānau.

“Know me before you teach me”
“Ruia taku taitea, kia rongo taikākā”

Central kids Pūtauaki is a happy place with a strong focus on language, culture and identity. We are a mainstream kindergarten with practices centred around kaupapa, Māori beliefs, values and practices. Manaakitanga, Tuakana – Teina, caring for one another, making milestones, celebrating together, whakawhanaungatanga. At Central Kids Pūtauaki many of our families have a strong connection to our Maunga, Awa, Whenua and Moana. Hunting is common interest in our families.

We have a large outdoor area with a large sandpit and plenty of climbing equipment that challenges children. We have gardens for planting kai and a fruit orchard, our whānau take partnership in learning alongside the children with our gardens. Our indoor area provides a large range of educational, fun resources to support children’s learning. We have a range of aquarium life which the children take care of daily.
