At Central Kids Turangi we provide an environment where whakawhanaungatanga (building relationships) is an integral part of our programme.
Our Kindergarten has a strong bi-cultural ethos, embellished under Tūwharetoatanga, we implement practices and values derived from our Kaumātua (elders). We have a huge indoor/outdoor environment that encourages tamariki to explore, and take risks whilst being guided by qualified and experienced Kaiako (Teachers).
Our program is committed to provide for our tamariki learning from our localised contextual environment e.g. Hunting, Fishing, Bushwalks, and Marae visits. Learning is extended within these areas. Our commitment is to develop confident, capable, social tamariki where we extend on prior learning and enjoy new learning. Tamariki explore and extend themselves mentally and physically – attributes that are essential for school and in life.
We welcome and encourage new and prospective parents/whānau to come in and see what we offer.
